I haven't been on here in a good minute with work and school. I finished school in May and started working full time and have been neglecting most everything else. Since, I have been so busy I never really got around to spring cleaning. I was going through our garage and the old owners left this super ugly bookcase. It was pretty heavy and I didn't want to haul it to the dump, so I decided to do something else with it. My backyard has been pretty lackluster and it needed some color. I had a bunch of leftover paint and wanted to give a little inspo to anyone looking for something to do with junk furniture.

Ignore my dying plant... I replanted it and well, as you can see it just didn't go so well.

Painted Chair

This was one of my old kitchen chairs that my dogs decided to chew. I was going to just throw it away, but I got the idea of using it as a little décor in the backyard. Since it was going to be outside I wanted to really distress it.

the dresser I did for my boys' room. It was a fairly simple project that stands out. It took me a little while I get the hang of using Mod Podge. I said I was going to do a smaller project at first and ended up just going for it.

Pegboard

Hi guys. I've been wanting to show the pegboard for above my daughters desk I did a while ago. I used chalk paint from Americana Décor in the color scheme of refreshing and relic. I then used a stencil that I got from Hobby Lobby a while ago to do the chevron print. You could also use tape but I had a coupon and got the stencil instead.
