For this pattern I used a fun yarn I found at Michaels. I couldn't get a good picture of it because the light just seems to bounce off of it.
Yarn: bulky
Hook: L or M either one works well
I chained 80 for either a single loop or for a child's scarf, 160 if you want to wrap it around twice for an adult
Round 1: sc in each st, I actually like to either do a fsc or sc with a larger hook for the chain and sc then switch back to your smaller hook.
Round 2: ch5, sl st in 4th sc, Repeat till end, join
Round 3: sl st twice into space, Ch5, sl st in middle of space, repeat twice, 7tr in next space, sl st to next space, ch5, sl st to next space, twice, (repeat around till end) join with sl st into space
Round 4: 5ch, sl st in space, repeat 1 more time, (1ch, 1tr, in each tr) (* you will have 7ch, 7tr*) sl st in next space, ch5, sl st in next space, repeat 1 more time * repeat around til end* join with sl st into space
Round 5: ch5, sl st in next space, ch2, 1tr, in each tr, (* you will have 14ch, 7tr*) ch2, sl st in next space, ch5, sl st in next space, repeat around, join with sl st into space
Round 6: sl st to space, ch4, 6tr in space, sl st to first tr, (ch5, sk 1 tr and sl st to next tr) repeat twice, 7tr in next space, repeat, sl st to chain 4
Round 7: chain 5, 6tr in space, then repeat round 3, sl st to chain 4 not in the 5th chain
Round 8: chain 6, 6tr in space, then repeat round 4, sl st to chain 4 not in the 6th chain
From here on out you will be repeating round 6 to round 7 until it's as tall as you want. I did 3 rounds of the pattern. You will end on the row that is the same as round 6.
ROUND 3
ROUND 4
ROUND 5
ROUND 6
Hopefully the pictures could give you a better visual of what the pattern should look like.
