Chunky Bib Scarf

Chunky Bib Scarf
For this pattern I used a L hook and Loops and Threads chunky yarn.
This pattern works up very quickly. Which is always an added bonus. I've already gotten quite a few compliments on mine.

Free Pattern Coming Soon

Hey guys I'm going to be adding the pattern to this bib scarf I made soon. I'll try to do it later tonight. Don't mind the selfie. Ha. I have no idea how else to show off how the scarf wears. This scarf works up super quick and only takes a 1.5 balls of chunky yarn. Added bonus: hides the double chin! Winning!!!

Crocheted Half Circle Rug

Thursday, January 28, 2016

I made this rug for my entry way in my house to cover up an ugly spot on my floor. I used some craft t shirt yarn, I found at Hobby Lobby. I have also made rugs holding 6 strands of worsted weight yarn together.  You can make this in a rug or even use a smaller hook and weight of yarn and make a small version. I did block it when I was done to make sure it stayed in the shape that I wanted, but its not necessary.

Doily/ Mandala

I saw this posted on pinterest but it had no pattern. It looked pretty simple, so I wrote my own pattern for it to share with you.. I altered it quite a bit to make it larger,  then I put it in an embroidery hoop to add as a little décor for my daughters' pegboard.

Giraffe Hat

Monday, January 25, 2016

I'm supposed to be writing an essay for my barbering school but instead here's my take on the giraffe hat. I had bought a pattern a long time ago off of etsy but never really liked the huge horns and ears. So I ended up making my own pattern that was more my style. Cute and simple.

Pegboard

Thursday, January 21, 2016

Hi guys. I've been wanting to show the pegboard for above my daughters desk I did a while ago. I used chalk paint from Americana Décor in the color scheme of refreshing and relic. I then used a stencil that I got from Hobby Lobby a while ago to do the chevron print. You could also use tape but I had a coupon and got the stencil instead.

By the end of this week I'll have full instructions for my Giraffe Hat and Diaper Cover!!
One of my favorite patterns. You can even do different hat designs like here.

Yoda ears

So I get asked a lot about my yoda ear pattern on etsy. Instead of trying to sell it I thought I would go ahead and give it out for free. I usually only write patterns in a way that I can understand so if there is anything that doesn't make sense go ahead and comment and I'll try to clarify.

I think the ears work best with Lily's Sugar n Cream yarn. I've tried other yarns and they just don't have the same effect. Hobby Lobby's I Love This Cotton is extremely soft but it also droops more than Lily's Sugar n Cream. In this picture I used I Love This Cotton and while it's very cute the ears seem to also come out smaller.
